GO GREEN WITH UPCYCLED WORK AT CRAFTADELPHIA: A PART OF DESIGN PHILADELPHIA 2008 AND PARTICIPATING IN SWAP-O-RAMA-RAMA

Design Philadelphia will be host to over 90 events, with the theme of "Down to Earth", thru October 22, 2008. The Philly Etsy Team is a part of Design Philadelphia with CraftAdelphia at Mew Gallery on Saturday, October 18; from 11am-4pm featuring upcycled and green design work with a special reception! The Philly Etsy Team part of Swap-o-Rama-Rama on Sunday, October 19 from 12-5pm presented by The Philadelphia Sewing Collective at the Old Pine Community Center, 401 Lombard Street Philadelphia. SORR is a giant public clothing swap and series of DIY workshops. Philly Etsy is one of the participating groups and will have free giveaways! Who is Philly Etsy? Etsy is an online resource for artists and crafters to share their talents and sell their wares. Over a 100 local artists/crafters belong to the Philly Etsy Team and have an etsy site. Members are from Philadelphia, surrounding counties, Southern NJ and Delaware. Supporting local art, crafts and part of the Design Philadelphia event being held in Philadelphia.

This Saturday October 4th

I will be participating in the Independent Craft Fair @ the 941 Theater at 941 N Front St. Philadelphia, PA. This event is run by the same people who put on the Big Art Show, and they are always a lot of fun. Make sure you come by and get your holiday shopping started early!!!

I will also be participating in this show on Saturday November 8th and possibly Saturday December 6th.

Photoshop Tutorial Tonight!!!

There will be a Photoshop tutorial tonight at my house for members of the Philly Etsy Team. I know it's raining, but if you are brave enough to get a little damp come on by and learn some useful stuff! Snacks and drinks will be provided =)
